An economical concentrate for safe and effective manual disinfection and cleaning of medical instruments.

  • 3 Advantages
  • Maximum safety
Strong cleansing power makes pre- and post cleaning redundant
  • Better instrument longevity
Corrosion inhibitors enhance the longevity of the instruments
  • Practice-near tests under the toughest of conditions
Guarantee safety even at high levels of organic contamination
This concentrate for the disinfection and cleaning of medical instruments (such as abrasors, amalgam carriers, spatulas, dental elevators, extraction forceps and other precision instruments) contains an innovative combination of active agents based on alkylamines and quaternary ammonium compounds, providing a broad effective spectrum and excellent cleaning power. Blood, saliva and other fluids rich on protein are removed effectively. Even in the presence of elevated contamination levels, PROSEPT® Instru requires no supplements or cleaning enhancers. Anti-corrosive substances enhance the longevity of instruments. Material compatibility was tested on polyethylene, silicone, iron, steel, and acrylic glass without the risk discoloration of materials or fixation of blood and proteins on instruments. PROSEPT® Instru is suitable for the ultrasonic cleaning bath. Easy handling and high dosage accuracy is achieved by means of a specifically designed lid featuring dosage markers for the required 20 ml scale unit, ensuring an ecological and economical, practice-friendly use of the product.
PROSEPT® Instru is aldehyde- and phenol-free and biodegradable.

Easy to use

Just follow these easy steps:

  • Wear household gloves and goggles.
  • Prepare solution according to the instructions on the label and use the 20 ml scale markings on the inside of the lid.
  • Submerse instruments completely. Keep instruments disjointed. The air must completely vacate all cavities.
  • Follow exposure times.
  • After disinfection, rinse instruments thoroughly with water and let dry.
  • Change bath solution twice or three times a week depending on the degree of contamination. A daily bath change is recommended. Before first time use, test material compatibility. Do not use on aluminum alloys and items such as Citoject syringes

Do you have the same questions?

Our R&D team answers:

  • How should I disinfect instruments?
The two options are chemical disinfection in an instrument tray and thermal disinfection in a thermal disinfector. For the chemical disinfection, using the correct concentration of the disinfectant and adhering to the correct exposure time are essential for a successful disinfection.
  • In what order should I reprocess the used surgical instruments?
The instruments should first be disinfected, then cleaned, dried, and packaged. Sterilization is the last step.
  • How long can a prepared solution of PROSEPT® Instru be used?
Depending on the degree of contamination by the used instruments, PROSEPT® Instru can be used for up to a week. However, the VAH (Society for Applied Hygiene) recommends preparing a new ready-to-use solution for each working day.
  • Do reprocessed instruments left on the instrument tray require renewed reprocessing?
As long as the packaging was not opened or damaged, unused instruments can be resterilized in the same sterile packaging. In such a case, the instruments do not need to be cleaned or disinfected again. If there are ever any doubts regarding the safety or hygiene of the instruments, the instruments must undergo the complete reprocessing cycle
