A reliable cleaning concentrate for greatest possible cleanliness of suction units.

- 3 Advantages
- Excellent cleaner
Guaranteed no biofilm and bad odor. No more operational disruptions - Great value

Easy on the suction pump. Tough on germs
PROSEPT® Forte does not contain any aggressive substances such as aldehydes or phenols and therefore ensures high material compatibility as well as significantly enhanced longevity of the suction hoses and suction units. In addition, de-foaming agents protect the mechanical parts of the unit, thereby guaranteeing smooth operation of the unit. The product is harmless to the environment.

Do you have the same questions?
Our R&D team answers:
- Why does the suction unit even need to be disinfected?
By using cleansing agents and disinfectants, the number of germs in the suction unit is decreased to such a degree that any risk to patients or personnel is eliminated or at least greatly decreased. Whether a disinfected suction unit actually fulfills all requirements of disinfection is not scientifically proven. However, a cleaning alone does not suffice for considerably lowering the risk of infection. - How can one avoid the formation of biofilm in the suction unit?
In order to prevent the accumulation of suctioned blood particles and protein (and thereby the formation of a biofilm), the unit should be thoroughly flushed with at least 1 liter of cold water after every treatment. - Can I use household products for the cleaning of suction units?
Household products normally create foam and they are thus not suitable for the cleaning of suction units. A non-foaming cleaning agent could theoretically be used. However, doing so could cause possible damage to the suction unit, as these products were not developed for this purpose. - Do I have to disinfect the suction unit between two patients?
As part of the surface disinfection between patients, the suction hose and the fixed coupling are disinfected. This is done with an external wipe disinfection and an internal disinfection wherever possible. The suction cannulas and detachable couplings are disinfected or sterilized after every patient as part of instrument disinfection.
